Jambalaya Festival Association
Jambalaya Festival Association held a Ground Breaking Ceremony on Wednesday, April 13th to celebrate their new building at South Francois Avenue, Gonzales.
The Jambalaya Festival Association is a non-profit organization, chartered in 1968 to raise funding for the Gonzales Lions Club and several other area non-profit groups. Nearly 50 years later, the JFA continues to serve the local community year round and hosts the World Famous Gonzales Jambalaya Festival each year in the heart of Gonzales.
Attending the ribbon cutting for Jambalaya Festival Association were JFA President Wally Taillon and JFA Vice President Tammy Guillory. Also in attendance were Ascension Parish President Kenny Matassa; City of Gonzales Mayor Barney Arceneaux; Gonzales Councilmen Neal Bourque and David Guitreau; Gonzales Chief of Police Sherman Jackson; Ascension Parish Assessor Mert Smiley; Ascension Parish Clerk of Court and Ascension Chamber of Commerce Board Chairman Bridget Hanna; Ascension Parish School Board Member Scott Duplechin; Ascension Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Sherrie Despino; Chamber Board Members; Chamber Ambassadors and Members; VIP attendees and Jambalaya Festival Association Board members, family and friends.
